Has someone ever asked you, “What is YOUR Passion?”
I am not talking about passion as an emotional feeling, but more of a passion of what are you living for. I know this can be taken on multiple trails such as, “my passion is my faith and that is what I am living for.” Although I do agree with that statement, this question is not to have you ponder about the meaning of life, but it is just the simple question of “What is YOUR Passion”.
The word passion in this context means, ” a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object, or concept”. In terms of what will make you happy for the rest of your life.
I found myself struggling to answer this question. In my mind, my thoughts are quick to say to be rich and successful. However, I know that is not the right answer, because it can often be misinterpreted. I am and will always be the type of person who is cautious with their words, in fear of what others will think of them. But, is being rich and successful a bad thing to strive for? It is one thing to desire (the emotion of craving) money and be rich with envy (a feeling of discontent or covetousness with regard to another’s advantages, success, possessions) and greed (inordinate desire to possess wealth, goods, or objects of abstract value with the intention to keep it for one’s self, far beyond the dictates of basic survival and comfort).
With that being said, what is your integrity? Where does your moral compass point? What is your belief in ethics?
